ADAM MARQUEZ
LPC, and certified personality disorders treatment provider.
I am a happily married father of six. I am an avid reader and hold a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Denver Seminary where I also earned a certificate in theology. I have a high interest in philosophy and theology. Since leaving the Army in 2013, I have worked at the Denver Vet Center whose focus is on counseling veterans with combat-related PTSD and military sexual trauma where I continue to maintain a full caseload.
FOCUS
I have a unique ability to integrate philosophy, theology (though my modalities are secular), and literary thinking, into helpful conceptualizations for my clients. My approach is cerebral, direct, and thorough. I specialize in personality disorders with an emphasis on borderline personality disorder. I am effective with couples and am particularly helpful with ones where one of the members may have a personality disorder. I offer a unique perspective, and have a profound understanding of, borderline personality disorder which I use in effective treatment of it. My treatment modalities focus on the development of personhood and trust through forms of narrative work.
